A darling film about the life of a family of spirited Meerkats living in their modest burrow (burrough?) in Africa. An adorable ensemble cast of unbearably cute meerkats dart across the screen in curiousity, filling you up with joy as you follow the story of their treacherous existence. Paul Newman's voice soothes as you watch, inviting you into a familiar feeling of your own life. The cinematography is beautifully done and the quality of the film is outstanding. The only deterrent is the anthropomorphisation of these tiny creatures, who are given names and personalities by the narration. If you can ignore this detail, it's nearly as good as its predecessor, March of the Penguins.
