Not a sequel to the earlier episode "Firehouse Quartet" (which concerned a makeshift singing group), this episode finds the Squad 51 basketball team going all the way to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, a steady stream of emergency calls makes it difficult for the team members to prep for the big game. Futuring Growing Pains star Joanna Kerns, still billed under her original name Joanna Verona, appears as an injured gymnast.
