Yes other characters ( like marvel's Wolverine) have similar powers. But how they Use these power/s, how they got these power/s, And how they deal with the world that Enabled these power/s Is the Difference. And yes I like and enjoy the supporting cast. I really Like this series.
Formula: super-hot policewoman lives by her own rules, solving DEA crimes HER way (by the way, HER way wouldn't get her past the police academy... but I digress). Then meet the government agency that's never mentioned (Hello Men In Black knock-offs) chasing supernatural creatures (some disguised as humans... enter TV's Charmed) that trick leading lady into joining after finding out she has the mutant power of invulnerability the cheerleader from TV's HEROES has.
Okay, yes, everyone will eventually copy a previous TV show series. But the average acting, forgettable characters with their one-liners and the spoon-fed PG-13 nudity to keep the youngsters coming back (if they do) doesn't keep my interest. I'm trying to be fair and un-sarcastic as possible, but it's no different than Mutant X. Remember that TV series? Yea, I barely do as well.
