Unique ,authentic adventure film, based on true saga of Hugh Glass (Name changed to Zach Bass in film) Slow paced, with very little dialogue, yet mesmerizing in it's brutal, realistic depiction of 1820s frontier. Superb photography and art direction give it the look of those burnt brown paintings of mountain men. Harris and John Huston (both first rate) are supported by a totally convincing cast of characters.
I RENTED THIS FOR "MAN IN THE WILDERNESS" , IT WAS GREAT. MY RATING IS FOR IT. THE OTHER MOVIE..."DEADLY TRACKERS" WAS POSSIBLY THE WORST WESTERN I'VE SEEN. I HATED IT, SO WOULD GIVE IT THE LOWEST RATING
