Watching "The Art of Travel" was analogous to viewing the art of life. It begins slow, but then builds momentum as the main character gains experience by living, instead of watching, life go by. As the movie progresses there are beautiful landscapes interlaced with some great action - which was a happy surprise. I knew the movie was "working" when I found myself forgetting that I was just watching a good comedy/drama with action flick. I would have changed the ending, and I think many others will agree with this assessment. While humorous, the ending lacked the sizzle and pop that was expected. It did however leave itself wide open to a sequel. If this pans out then, hopefully the next one will end with more crackle, and less plop. All in all, I gave the movie such a high rating due to a good script reinforced with great acting performances. In short, it was a very good movie in which a better ending, probably for times sake, was tragically dropped to the cutting room floor.

I love how this film begins! I’m not going to spoil it. But I honestly think the opening is reason enough to buy the film. It has the oldest brother from Malcolm in the Middle – I think this movie is a really strong fit for him. The whole movie gave the travel bug. I’ve always wanted to explore those areas of South America. This film totally brings the whole continent to life. It is one non stop adventure which makes you want to get out into the world and explore what it has to offer. A truly inspirational adventure!
