This was a nice surprise. I watched the film only to see the wonderful Ellen Burstyn, but I was not ready for the experience. This is a lovely little christmas movie about love in the twilight of life. Martin Landau gives his best performance in over a decade here as a lonely man who has nothing except a job at the local grocery store. Ellen Burstyn plays a fun loving older woman who takes a risk and asks him for a date. What follows is a wonderful love story that takes some unexpected turns especially in the films final act. It is a celebration of life and love, heartache and making solid honest decisions. A wonderful treat as we head into the holiday season.
