Loved the movie. It had adventure, mystery, danger and a sense of calmness to it. Loved the river scenes and the beautiful country side.

Mostly rented this film due to Kevin Bacon's starring role. Story of a group of city boys forced to go on a wilderness excursion during the summer by a borderline-psyhopathic guide (Kevin Bacon), that is that he places the kids in situations way beyond their skills putting them constantly in danger. The film has a nice edge to it, but a little distracting by the 80's musical score that is so repetitive of films during that decade. Additionally, Sean Astin's charater Alan's dweeby narrative detracts from the plot. But it is entertaining & fairly tense throughout the movie.
