this was the worst documentry i have ever seen in my life. certain facts were not right, narration was bad, and they kept showing the same 4 pics. i didnt make it past the first 15 minutes of it. DO NOT RENT THIS !! TOTAL WAS OF TIME FOR ANY TRUE HIP HOP FAN
great idea, terrible execution. repeated lines, overused commentary...production and editing was completely skipped over. its like they just took some snapshots, put a talktrack to it and made a movie out of it. totally weak. at one point i saw the same scene 3 times in a row as if the dvd was skipping...gave up and turned it off.
This documentary is just ridiculous. It repeats itself often. Sometimes it even just repeats a sentence twice in a row, maybe imitating the way mixtape DJs repeat lines? It isn't pulled off correctly anyways. The film also spends way too long explaining the history of New Orleans. They use small clips from a single interview done with Lil Wayne that looks like it was pulled straight off YouTube. The rest of the clip art used is also pulled from random web pages, you can still see the site's watermarks most of the time. Just bad!
