Obviously it's a crappy film complete with bad camera movement and poor cinematography but I know that people looking for this film are only going to watch for the gore so I will tell you now it is not gory! Jess Franco should know cannibal films are driven by gore. if the acting and story were great then maybe but the only gory part is a close up of Al Clivers arm being chopped off and Jess Franco stoppes the plot to go into these long grueling scenes of cannibals eating someone but its shot so close up that it's obvious there eating stake and not biting into flesh. If you are going to see a cannibal film see ones made by Umberto Lenzi and Ruggero Deodato. I guarantee you shall be disappointed unless you're a real fan of Jess Franco or Al Cliver. I have yet to see Franco's other cannibal film The Devil Hunter I hope he can redeem himself in that film. Check out Franco's Bloody Moon it's awsomly gory!
