These movies are simply wonderful! These three films, about a country girl living on a houseboat, and the adventures and misadventures she has exploring the world and love, reflect the time when movies were wholesome and good, and shocking things were still shocking. Both Debbie Reynolds and Sandra Dee play Tammy (Reynolds in "...Bachelor"; Dee in "...True" and "...Doctor") and both are superb. The Tammy films are warm, wise, wholesome, and funny! They rate high in my favorites! As Tammy might say, "They pleasured me to no end!" Watch "Tammy and the Bachelor" to see a very young Leslie Nielson!
Loved them. Corny yes but I didn't have to worry about bad language or racey scenes with kids around. What a treat! Loved all three of them and seeing a young Peter Fonda and Adam West (briefly). Fun to see now more famous people before they were so famous.
Tammy and the Bachelor is a classic and darling 50's film- Debbie Reynolds is terrific as Tammy and the entire cast of the first film is great- OK it is dated but so what- really fun to watch and very good film.
The other 2 Tammy films are really B movies and only copy the same formula of the original. Tammy meets boy, falls in love, etc....and they keep explaining why she broke up with her true love from the preceding films....
And on top of that Sandra Dee is no Debbie Reynolds, however having said that they are still fun to watch!.
