First of all, this is one of Jet's first movies, and surprise surprise, he did not get his start in Hollywood. So, be ready for subtitles. If you are truly a Jet Li fan or a fan of martial arts in general, you'll be patient. It's not the greatest movie of all time, but I could appreciate it because I follow martial arts, and related movies religiously. The subtitles are poorly translated at some points, but that is to be expected. Don't expect every Jet Li movie to be made especially for Americans. That would be just plain ignorant. If you don't like subtitles, dubbed movies, or any other element of a foreign movie, stick to Jet's American made movies. If you consider yourself a true Jet Li/martial arts fan, I recommend this movie.

This movie is what you can expect from 80% of kung fu movies out there from this "era". It's classic! If you like Jet Li and you like old time Kung Fu.. then you have to give it a chance! "it's got subtitles" well no duh eh? :)
