This movie began with th potential to be really neat - the story was interesting, the characters were well written, there was comedy and great actors - but then towards the end it stalled. It seems like the end of the movie was really just the beginning - I wanted to know what was going to happen next. They built a story that was really interesting but like the "X-Files" movies, left us wondering what the real outcome was. I definately enjoyed the first 2/3 of the movie but it left me wanting an ending that tied up the loose ends - hence only 3 stars.

Great kid's movie. My girls are 7 and 9, and totally enjoyed this movie. We borrow it from our library often. They love animals, and Abigail (from the KIT movie), and laughed out loud at the antics of Jodie Foster's character. They didn't seem upset at the lost mother storyline at the beginning, and of course a happy ending is what makes it a great choice for kids. Mom enjoyed it too.

Great talent in a story that didn't know where it was going. It was a 'Romancing the Stone' meets 'Peter Pan' with an evil 'Love Boat' . Please! This does not warrant 3 stars -- 2 stars and that is primarily for Jodi Foster and getting to see Gerard Butler.
