Ace High (1967)

Ace High (1967)
Member Rating:
There isn't much disagreement as to whether this spaghetti western is styled after the Director Sergio Leone's Clint Eastwood blockbuster, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Ace High, directed by Giuseppe Colizzi, and filmed in Almeria, Spain, is missing at least two ingredients that could possibly lift it up to its predecessor, and they're Eastwood and Colizzi. The plot fits: An outlaw Cat Stevens (Terence Hill) is saved from the noose and is then hunted by his saviors when he goes back to crime. But Stevens is on a hunt of his own, pursuing three roamers who'd sent him to prison years before. ~ Rovi

All i can say is that this old spaghetti western was pretty damn good. Bud Spencer is hilarious. And as for Terence Hill.....he's HOT with those bright blue eyes!

Terence Hill & Bud Spencer are (A+) two of the best their era has to offer. However, this movie does not live up to the Trinity Trilogy. If I had it to do over again, I would of passed on this rental. Terence Hill & Bud Spencer had bit parts in this movie, even though they were in the whole movie.

This is a great popcorn movie. It's goofy, has lots of different "situations" the characters pass through and Eli Wallach is great as the crafty, beady-eyed and surprisingly generous outlaw. Terrence Hill and Brock Peters are the inevitable reticent, good-looking drifter and his burly pal who always wears a dirty sheepskin (or whatever that is) vest. The characters are cliched in the same way samuri movie characters are, which comes off more homey and reassuring than dull.
