Filmed in Scranton, PA against the actual city scape the movie has the feel of a city stuggling to survive, yet clining to the glory of a championship basketball season of 25 years past. Individually the actors are wonderful, but some scenes seem forced rather than fluid. The scenes in the gym are particuarlly strained and the backdrop of a small gym from an elementary school rather thatn a high school (where the championship was won). As past secrets are revealed there seems to be less and less of a reason to celabrate. The plot basically holds this movie together in these strained scenes and the best that can be said is that the movie is worth a look, but do not expect to be entertained too much.

The director fell too much in love with the writer's words. Very likely to happen when it's the same person. Would prefer to see this on stage.
