Director Debbie Formoso's fictional short Nagpapanggap unfolds in the Philippines during the '60s, when Lourdes - a young woman juggling roles as a schoolteacher, wife and mother - unveils evidence of her husband's extramarital involvement. Though Lourdes spends her life devoting herself to others (particularly the women who live nearby), this devastating, newfound knowledge forces her to a nexus - a breaking point - that will require her to help herself once and for all. In the process, she must re-assert her own self-worth and defy all social ethics to do what is right and honorable. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
