This is another interesting and spectacular, but not exceptional, documentary from National Geographic. It includes some excellent footage of El Capitan rock climbing, beautiful thunderstorm scenes highlighting the weather related dangers of hiking near the summits, featuring Half Dome views. Presumed effecs of global warming are exposed by glacier retreat and by biologists climbing the sequoias. The natural history of Yosemite valley creation and granite formation is presented in an accessible manner. Other aspects of Yosemite, like the human history of the park, are barely presented. I found it helpful and exciting to view this DVD just before my last visit to this wonderful National park.
A bit dull narration and faily non-informative, but a doable. Unexciting given the nature of the excitement of the subject matter...verbiage left a bit to be desired.
