The scenery is breathtaking. The movie is not as slow-paced as some reviewers have indicated. One has to appreciate the thrill of discovery of the real world, and the joy of fellowship with furry creatures. It is true that the girl's obsession makes her less responsible than one would always like, especially in the cave. But it is understandable. The way they made the foxes behave was sometimes incredible.

Some people who reviewed this movie don't understand that this movie needed slow deliberate pacing. We have a 3 year old, a 5 year old and a 12 year old living with us who were able to take in the story line and the beautiful shots of the animals in the wild. Nothing blows up and there aren't any car chases. Just beautiful story telling. Indeed this was a labor of love.

Nice little movie but in the same league as "March of The Penguins". The filmmakers didn't know how to wrap it up and consequently the ending is very forced and sudden.
