Out of the thousands of thoroughbred horses born each year, only 20 will be good enough to reach the Kentucky Derby. This well-done documentary takes you behind the scenes to reveal the characters and personalities of the owners and trainers and hanger-ons who put their own personal hopes, dreams, and disappointments into the long run-up to qualify for the 2006 Kentucky Derby. Very human stories, even for those who know little or nothing about horse racing.
