Bale and Adams are superb. Wahlberg seemed to have been influenced by these two because he acted better than he did in Boogie Nights. Of course, his character wasn't that far from Wahlberg's own background. Still you feel for these people's good and bad times. The rest of the cast helped to make that possible.

Mark Wahlberg plays a very good part. You wish Christian Bale would just go away and let his half-brother succeed on his own. However, Dicky wants to help himself and the family. This is true story. The fight scenes were O.K., but the action outside of the ring was great.

This was a good movie. I did not like the ending the wrong guy won at the end. If you see the movie you will know it's BS the other guy would have wiped the floor with the winner. The ending is why I gave this movie 3 stars. Still worth a watch though.
