The Marines (2007)
Member Rating:
The PBS documentary The Marines charts the history, culture, ethos and intent of the United States Marine Corps. It unearths the "warrior" mystique that lies behind this American institution, and moves into detailed explorations of what one must endure to become a marine and what the status of membership signifies, ideologically. The program also discusses the tight-knit, almost fraternal bond that typically develops between members of the corps. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

It is what it is. It shows a brief synopsis of Marine Corps Recruit Training, and Officer Candidate School, as well as some other schools, and training that Marines go through. Since it was a PBS broadcast, it was forced to keep clean. If you want to see an "unrated" inside look at recruit training, look into "Ears Open, Eyeballs Click," one of the best documentaries on recruit training I've ever seen.
