My boyfriend and I love this series. We are 29 years young and are big fans. This is a coming of age story that both children and adults can enjoy. Each volume presents a new lesson and a different challenge for the Avatar and his friends.

I have recently begun viewing the Avatar series at the request of fellow martial artists at our kung fu school. Not only is it delightful to see how the martial arts lineage in the series is related to some of the major kung fu styles (the fire nation's northern Shaolin moves, the Earth nation's Hung Gar, the Water nation's Tai Chi and the Airbender's Bagua), but the stories are well-told and truly hold to the many philosophies of the arts. In fact, as i watched these animated stories, I found myself hoping some day that they put this into film. With CGI, I could anticipate some GREAT spectacle fight scenes. Start with the first episode and you'll find yourself hooked in no time. The guys at our studio are now passing around the 1st edition boxed set that I ended up purchasing. Exceptional stories for all ages. Can't wait til the next full season comes out on DVD.

Good stuff, the previous volume was a little better. You can tell you have a good show when the bad guys are just as interesting as the good guys.
