I'm been dancing most of my life but not jazz or modern...tap, swing, ballroom. This is so you know my background which is pertinent to this review. I was soooo looking forward to getting this dvd. So I was disappointed to discover that all the moves which build into a routine are explained and shown really fast. If you are already an experienced dancer and a 'quick study' when it comes to feet and arm movements, then you'll like this and will not be bored. Most of the moves I got right away and then others I was huh? what? Pause Rewind Pause Rewind Pause Rewind. So if you don't already have a dance background I think you'll find this really challening and possibily frustrating. About 20 minutes into the 30 minute exercise segment I just popped it out. I guess I'm more the Richard Simmons sweatin' to the oldies type.
I have done a couple of Patricia Moreno's videos now and love them. They are not so hard that you have to be a professional to do them. they give you a pretty good work out and are fun....Give it a try
Be sure to go to the "bonus" on the title page first. It goes through each dance move one step at a time. Then do the 30 or 60 minute workouts once you have the moves down. I'm no dancer, but I found it to be good exercise and fun. She's a very positive, experienced instructor.
