In the fall of 2009 It will be a half century since "The Untouchables" first appeared on television and it is as enjoyable to watch now as it was then. The plots are straight forward and uncomplicated and thus stand in marked contrast to many of the convoluted, profane, and excessively violent police dramas of contemporary television.
Robert Stack was already a noted actor when he began appearing as Eliot Ness in "The Untouchables" but it is the role for which I will always remember him.
You have to love that Nelson Riddle music too.
The Untouchables was a eppisode in the 1950 about Elliot Ness the man who put Al Capone away for 11 years when no one could get anything on Capone. The Untouchables is a fast moving action serries or as my wife puts it a bang bang shooting up movie.
This is great to look at the old Untouchables, it reminds me of when I was very young, and I used to watch this with my father, who has passed on. I wait until Sunday to watch this the Untouchables, bring back old memories, they do not make shows like this anymore.
