After only watching disk 1, I already have a few techniques to help my recovery. Yes, I'm in recovery myself, I work an emergency hotline and need all the help I can. Not just to help myself but to help others... family members, other addicts and even friends. HBO puts it all together and does a good job at showing the medical side. I think they could of gotten more from the people who actually paved the way and done some research of the history of treatments. Enjoy

Good information on the medical effects on the brain, but the series is painfully slow moving and VERY repetitive.

This has a little bit of useful information, but after the first disc it is continually repeats itself with slightly extended content from the first disc. I am watching the second disc now and have seen much of the same content 4-5 times. Very frustrating! Would recommend disc 1 only.
