In 2005 Little Britain creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams took their unique British satire series on the road for an eight month tour that found them performing all across the their native Britain. This performance, captured live in Blackpool, finds the stars of the popular series bringing their uniquely British characters to the stage for the delight of audiences who can't get enough of such characters as the gratingly chirpy Vicky Pollard, whose "yeah, but no, but yeah!" became a national catchphrase. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I am a big Little Britain fan, so I looked forward to seeing this. The stage set is incredible. All backgrounds are shown by a high-def projector making it easy and painless to switch between scenes. But... the laughs just aren't there as they are in the series. There are a few laugh out loud moments and some unexpected shocking scenes, but this live version just felt dumbed-down to me. I would have preferred that this DVD were filmed at the beginning of the tour rather than the end. The actors were obviously burned out and not fully into their roles.
