This is the final part of the OVA series, Tenchi Muyo, as envisioned by the creator of the franchise, Kajishima. He created the first 13 episodes of the OVA from 1992-1995 but didn't finish the final seven episodes until 2003. This takes the series in new and confusing directions. Forget whatever you thought you knew about Tenchi, his mother, the girls, his father and grandfather, it also introduces several new characters including a new fiance named Noike. Unfortunately, it ends just like all the other Tenchi continuities end, with no resolution. Seven episodes is far too few to explore the implications of all the new plotlines and the identities of the new characters. And, fans of the American voice of Ryoko (Petrea Burchard) will be sad to note she has been replaced (Mona Marshall) with a not too great stand-in. So if you want an ending (not resolution) to the OVA, then you will find it here. But, in the annuls of Tenchi Muyo it is a mediocre addition to an otherwise good series.
