This is a wonderful piece. Peter O'Toole & David Tennant are equally enjoyable. Fantastic slice of history.

I want to start by saying that I am a huge David Tennant fan. But even the wonderful performance of Tennant and O'Toole were not enough to hold this movie up. I gave it 3 1/2 stars because of them. The movie is badly paced and predictable, it doesn't seem to be able to decide what its focus is. A lot of time is spent on Casanova's "conquests" but not on the love of his life, Henrietta. This movie is still worth watching if you love Tennant and O'Toole.

I love this presentation. Peter O'Toole has been of my favorite actors since I first saw him in Lawrence of Arabia. David Tennant is my Doctor and to see him in this role was a breath of fresh air.
