Although I thought I already owned this movie in a cheap 50-pack boxed set, I decided to rent it and see if this single-packaged version was different. It was, but the experience was a real mixed bag. I cannot account for why these different versions exist - both flawed. This version had a darker and grainier image than my cheap 50-pack version, but at least appeared to be an uncut edition. However, it is "pan and scan" rather than giving the full widescreen image. Moreover, 7 minutes of the film were inexplicably repeated in the middle. Still, I was glad to see something closer to the original than the totally hacked-up version in the 50-pack. The film itself is pretty intriguing, with two prominent actors appearing in this Israeli co-production. I just wish a good widescreen edition were available.
