Very poor picture and sound quality. Low budget like movie; mediocre acting. It was one of those movies you know from the very beginning it's not good but you keep watching and at the end you hate yourself for wasting those 2 hours of your precious time. I can see how the despair of this situation could make a great drama if done right. This was done very poorly, the characters and the story were not believable.

VERY well acted (and directed). VERY very sad. No happy endings here if that is what you are looking for. Robin Williams delivers all of the anguish and pain one soul can muster - and that will transend through the film to those that view it. Note the reviewers that say it was too hard for them to even watch...so that being noted..I give this movie 3 stars.

I found this a very interesting movie, partly because of the uncharacteristically serious role that Robin Williams played. From the start, he manages to portray a desperate man continuously on the brink of losing it because he can't find work. His father, a successful doctor, has little sympathy for him. Teetering on the edge, he entrusts most of his life savings to a friend who assures him he can make big money trading commodities. And, you guessed it, he loses it all. Great acting, realistically portrayed.
