Co-writers and directors David Moreau and Xavier Palaud's French-language horror picture Them take audiences on a ride of sheer terror as a couple fight for their life when an assault on their home turns deadly. The story opens with the homicide of two Romanians -- a woman and her young daughter -- who crash their car along a rural road and are promptly butchered by a shadowy figure. Meanwhile, in Bucharest, schoolteacher Clémentine (Olivia Bonamy) climbs into her car and drives to the isolated mansion that she inhabits with partner Lucas (Michaël Cohen), not far from the site of the murders. Soon the couple overhears someone stealing their car, but a call to the police accomplishes little. The lovers gradually realize that an outsider is attempting to break into the house with homicidal intent. Thus begins a nasty, brutal battle of wills that can only end in the death of the victims or the assailants. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

I think the people that didn't like this movie are more into movies like Saw and Hostel. I like those movies, too, but to me this was scarier because you really don't know what's going on until the end. The director did a good job of building the suspense and tension and I certainly wouldn't agree with those that said it was boring. Scary? You bet--because it could really happen and, in fact, it did.

I really reccomend this movie. It was based on a true story and even scarier than the Strangers. I don't mind subtitles, but even if you do, it is easy enough to follow. I would even watch it again!

Pretty good horror film! The plot was a bit thin and made you want to know more about the characters. Such as what was it about the assailants' lives that made them go after their particular type of victim. But then again maybe this is why the film is good because it makes you question way after it is over.
