This is an absolutely wonderful movie. Starring John Cusack, it tells the love story between a very pretty girl who "had no idea how beautiful she is," and the boy who has been in love with her for a long time. Not only does the film have it's funny parts, but it's also full of the most inspiring lines and speeches and phrases that really make you nod your head in agreement. John Cusack's sensitive and caring character has enough to make every girl wish that he were real. It's a great story dealing with finding your true love, then having to go through the pain of losing them. It is a must-see for everybody. It's not just another chick flick, guys can like it, too, because as much as they don't want to say it, more than half of them have been so desperately in love before. moviesxreviews.blogspot.com

im a sucker for 80's teen flicks. I completely fell in love with john cusak in this film. i can remember sitting on my living room couch watching this at 1 am and right then hoping that someday a guy would stand outside my house holding up a radio and playing a romantic song in dedication to me. This movie is truly one of the great 80's teen flicks, a romantic but not cheezy. although, theres nothing wrong with that

A movie that slipped past me, I kept seeing it referred to in reviews for newer films, always as the superior work. And it is a superior work. Good, believable story, excellent acting, writing that has the actors speaking like real people. I'm confused that it wasn't better reviewed when new, and those reviewers have something to explain. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an intelligent romcom populated by characters you'd like to know.
