Challenge of the Superfriends: Attack of the Legion of Doom

Challenge of the Superfriends: Attack of the Legion of Doom ()
Member Rating:
Challenge of the Super Friends: Attack of the Legion of Doom appears in its original full-frame transfer and sports few significant defects. The animation has not suffered much due to its significant age. Nothing overwhelming is taking place with the visuals, but everything remains easy-to-follow. This presentation utilizes its original mono transfer, cleaned up to present a clear and effective sound. The audio obviously stays very centralized and has little power, but it corresponds with expectations. The dialogue is clear and easily understandable, and no major problems appear, given the age and technological limitations of the material. While not filled with extra features, this release does provide several fun inclusions. The most extensive piece is the "Hall of Doom," which includes entries for each of the 13 super villains. A 30-second video showcases some of the enemy's finer moments. Perfectly aligned with the spirit of the series, the "Hall of Doom" is a nice collection of enjoyable material. Each episode also offers brief introductions from story editor Jeffrey Scott, who quickly discusses specific elements of the series. The clips are usually more general and don't truly introduce the episode, but they do give some minute insight into its creation. The remaining supplement is a quick game, "Super Friend of Super Foe?," that is not very exciting and was a bit confusing. ~ Dan Heaton, All Movie Guide
