This "Double Feature" DVD from Fox offers those nostalgic for the heyday of teen comedies a bargain by placing Porky's and Porky's 2: The Next Day on the same disc. This double-sided DVD serves one film on each side in an anamorphic widescreen format. Picture quality is mediocre but acceptable; both films suffer from dust speckling and the occasional scratch, but the image on each film is much sharper and more colorful than previous video versions. Sound quality is a bit better; both films have been given new Dolby Digital surround remixes. Neither film makes a dramatic use of sound but everything sounds nice and clear. Extras are limited to trailers for each film and bonus trailers for Revenge of the Nerds and Revenge of the Nerds Pt. 2, but getting both films together on one disc is enough of a deal to make up for this. In the end, Fox's disc of Porky's and Porky's 2: The Next Day isn't impressive in terms of extras or technical quality, but it offers a convenient way for comedy fans to collect both films on one convenient disc. ~ Donald Guarisco, All Movie Guide
