MGM presents The Ingmar Bergman Collection, a Special Edition boxed set of five digitally restored films and one bonus disc of supplemental materials. The set includes the films Persona, Hour of the Wolf, Shame, The Passion of Anna, and The Serpent's Egg. Each film is presented with a digital film transfer that preserves the original aspect ratio. The Swedish-language soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. Some films offer English and Spanish dubbed mono versions. Optional subtitles are available in English, French, and Spanish. Closed captions are accessible. Each disc contains photo galleries and an original theatrical trailer, and four of the films feature an audio commentary track by Bergman biographer Marc Gervais.

The original uncensored version of Persona (1966) is presented with a standard full-frame transfer in black-and-white, preserving the original theatrical release format of 1.33:1. An English-dubbed mono track is available. The disc includes the featurette "A Poem in Images" and interviews with Bibi Andersson and Liv Ullmann. Hour of the Wolf (1968) is presented with a widescreen transfer in black-and-white. The featurette "The Search for Sanity" and interviews with Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson are included. Shame (1968) is presented with a widescreen transfer in black-and-white. The disc includes the featurette "The Search for Humanity" and an interview with Liv Ullmann. The Passion of Anna (1969) is presented with a widescreen transfer in color. Special features for the film include the original story reading by Elliott Gould, the featurette "Disintegration of Passion," and interviews with Liv Ullman, Bibi Andersson, and Erland Josephson. The Serpent's Egg (1977) is presented with a widescreen transfer in color. Star David Carradine provides the audio commentary track, and featurettes include "Away From Home" and "German Expressionism." The disc of supplemental materials starts off with Ingmar Bergman interviews from 2002 and 1970. "Sven Nykvist: With One Eye He Cries" is a profile of Bergman's cinematographer. "Faro Island Mystique" explores the principal location of many of the director's films. "American Cinematographer, April 1972: 'Filming in Sweden'" is a collection of original magazine articles about Bergman's work.
