Many people prefer the Peter Ustinov Poirot, but I have to say that the A&E version, headed by David Suchet is the best for me. He filmed almost all the Agatha Christie books and in each one the attention to detail is dead on. His performances even top Albert Finney who was nominated for an Oscar in this role. These two movies are on the top of the list because to the almost last minute you have no idea whom the villian truly is and that is what makes a perfect murder mystery! It is a true shame that Suchet has abandoned the role, a loss to the fans and the future fans.

Hercule Poirot is my favorite detective and Agatha Christie has been a favorite of mine since I was a boy. I really enjoy these A&E presentations.
