Absolutely mesmerizing. Beautifully crafted, intellectually constructed, bold structure.

There have been multiple books written and multiple courses taught on The Decalogue. It would be foolish for me to attempt to cover all it's glory in this small space. I wish we could somehow make this mandatory viewing for all adults. It's THAT good. It's so amazing that it's ridiculous. You'll only be fooling yourself if you don't think this is the most brilliant film project of all time. Kieslowski has done more with a carton of cigarettes and a few zloty than any Hollywood director could ever dream of doing . . .

For anyone to seriously give The Decalogue less than 5 stars they must be looking for upbeat, conventional entertainment. You'll find entertainment if you understand the film vs movie argument. To be honest this has to be the best show ever created for TV, as it reaches emotional depths and both the visual and score were better-handled than most movies these days with a budget a hundred times as big. It should be considered a classic by cinephiles.
