I would have rated this five stars the flashback near the begining was just so-so(a very small portion of the movie) and the subtitles were not consistant but the acting was so good a non-hindi speaking person could follow. But it was intensely incredible! The two lead actors were superb, as was the rest of the cast, including that marvelous child actor! The action kept me on the edge of my seat and , of course, the story brought me to tears. A must see!

High quality romantic hindi movie based on historical events. This movie is entertaining and manages to clarify some of the the deep cultural rifts between Hindu/Sikh and Muslim's that still exist today. I rate this a PG 13. I plan on sensoring one brief scene for my kid's.
