    The full title of this disk is A Performance of Macbeth (1979) (TV). It stars Ian McKellen as Macbeth, and Judi Dench as Lady Macbeth. McKellen is amazingly good in this roll. Students of acting should study this dvd because of his textbook performance. The video production is poor by today’s standards, but it is exactly what you would expect from a low budget British TV production from the late 70’s.
