Kept waiting for the movie to make sense, have a twist, something. It was painful to endure to the end. It tried to float between past, present and future, between the mind of the writer and the characters about whom he wrote. Missed on every possible front.

This movie was nothing but confusion.

This movie ranks up there with Last Days, another movie that tried to show the thoughts of someone losing their mind. The couple of reviewers that thought this movie was good are obviously losing their mind. It does not work no matter how you look at it. Granted Christian Slater gave a good performance and Anthony Hopkins is a great actor, but, just because he was knighted does not mean he can write and direct a good movie. It was not entertaining or insightful and was painful to watch all these talented actors come together and put out such a terrible movie.
