Having just finished Anne of Green Gables, we expected this would be of the same caliber. The acting was pathetic and the actors didn't come anywhere close to the original actors. I wish we read the reviews before we ordered this movie.

My mom used to talk about teaching in a one room school house. like the one in this story. She taught for many years and said those were the most fun/rewarding. This is a great mini-series and I wish more movie producers would follow this lead. Strong women who reach for goals are my kind of gals. Good story about common everyday people in a simple setting. Anne is full of love for her fellow man and full of spunk. Acting a little stiff at first, but much better later on. Don't miss it.
