Moving into a new house, Bill and Janet Nelson (Bradford Dillman, Diana Hyland) try to make friends with their neighbors the Standers, only to be put off by the taciturn attitude of Jack Stander (Edward Asner) -- and especially the bizarre behavior of Jack's young son, Eddie (Mickey Sholdar).
