Given the fact this is a French studios first run at a "Sin City" and "Blade Runner" style of film did not impress me. The use of Black and White (B&W) animation was innovative, but save it for the paper version of the graphic novel. The B&W visual can make it hard for an individual follow the characters and movement. The storyline was slow and did not keep my attention for parts of the film. Comparing this movie to "Sin City" is like comparing a Toyota to a Mercedes S-Class, no competition. Watch for the paper version of graphic novel, it would read and look better.

The black and white was amazing, only one scene with color (expected) and the animation was even better and yes it is in english.
