Great film! It has a great story line ,and I love the fact that it shows a woman in power. This is rare in film, or at least it seems so. Isabelle Huppert is perfect (as always)! Her acting makes the film and she seems to own the screen whenever she is on it. If you enjoyed Chabrol's other films: you'll love this one. Great story, thrilling twists, and amazing acting. What more could a movie-watcher want?! If you see this and enjoy it: check out more films by Chabrol staring Isabelle Huppert.

Unless you are French and/or know about the Elf scandal (of the 90's-00's) don't bother watching this movie. Even with the background knowledge it is sort of slow and boring, a mixture between a TV and a low budget movie.

Tried to watch this boring movie over 3 nights and fell asleep after 15-20 minutes every time. Finally gave up. Don't bother.
