    Being a first hand victim of child abuse I know how it felt like to be the younger child. To be constantly living in fear, being beaten constantly, and hoping to live till the next day...thus trying to find the means of escape. If you haven't been abused you will probably never understand the torture (fear, pain, suffering, and utter helplessness). At least these children had hope (the Radio Flyer). Please note the escape was a symbolic one, to be taken to a place where one is free of days and nights of unbearable suffering. And what a wonderful dream it is for a child that is being abused.

    This is the best movie ever. I was 7months pregant when i saw this movie for the first time.and let me just say i cried like a baby!! It lets you see the real side of abuse and I knew no one would never hit my child in anyway. Life is hard without some drunk hitting on a little kid just so he ( the drunk) can feel good about himself when he should feel bad. I know this is only a movie but this kind of stuff happens all the time to Kids everyday. Please not only watch this movie but learn from it. I did.

    First off, don't be concerned by the two and a half star rating I gave it. This is a good imagination-stirring movie for younger viewers. The slightly uncomfortable implications of child abuse in the movie are addressed within, making it a possible learning experience for younger viewers as well. For adults, you might find yourself puzzled or confused after watching. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just say that if you consider the reality of the situation ... you might have a lot of questions that go unanswered.
