Synopsis of Glup

A young girl trapped in a strange land attempts to find her way back home with a little help from a group of strange new friends in an animated tale of friendship, adventure, and family. Transported to the unfamiliar surroundings of the city garbage dump after chasing her favorite toy into the trash can, frightened child Alicia soon strikes up a warm friendship with a friendly toaster and a brave detective who goes by the curious name of Glup. Though Alicia's newfound friends would like nothing more than to help the lost little girl find her way back to her mother and father, the evil Don Bater is constantly trying to lure Glup, the toaster, and the other restless inhabitants of the junkyard into the destructive fires of the raging incinerator. Despite his nefarious nature, Don Bater isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, though, and if Alicia can help her new pals outsmart the wicked watchman, she may finally be able to escape her smelly surroundings and once again experience all the warm comforts of home. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
