If you are a musician, (or even just a music fan), you will enjoy watching this fantastic in depth view of the studio tricks used on the recording of this piece of art. After watching this documentary, I dug my copy of the CD out and fell in love with it all over again. After hearing Brian May explain some of the behind the scenes methods used, songwriting credits, multi-layered vocals, etc...I have a whole new appreciation for this record. Roger Taylor gives his accounts of the bands career and events during the recording process also. John Deacon , (you learn in the film), is absent by choice. There is even some good footage of Freddie explaining a few things, along with some great live footage. Brian gives an explanation behind the writing of John Deacons composition, "You're My Best Friend" and also gives some insight into Freddie's "Love of My Life". If you are a Queen fan, you WILL NOT be disappointed in this film.

This dvd shows the iner workings of Queen's great album "A NIGHT AT THE OPERA". This album was so different for its time, and became an instant classic. It shows how much effort and time went into each individual song, and how they were in studio for over a year! Every song is at least good to great. The dvd shows how Bohemian Rhapsody was layed together, which was ahead of its time. Like the another member said, you get a new appriciation for all the songs on the album, and when you listen to all the songs together it feels like they were having fun recording it!
