This is a great opportunity to see the interaction between Lewis & colleague/friend J.R.R. Tolkien to compare/contrast their world views and understandings of faith. By all means, rent "Shadowlands" to learn more about his relationship/marriage with Joy. I was pleased to see his adopted son Douglas, now 62, eagerly embraced his parents' faith and has been promoting the Narnia film. His brother Douglas, 64, embraced his mother's native Judaism and lives in India with his wife.

An interesting dramatized documentary which helped me to understand who Lewis was and why he wrote The Chronicles of Narnia.

Very Interesting and insightful! This film is not action-packed, but really helps you to understand Lewis and his imaginary world. My 6 and 11 year old boys really did enjoy learning more about Lewis. I strongly suggest this film be watched together and be used for discussion about the Narnia themes.
