There are vampires and there is a higher breed of "vampire" that feeds on vampire blood. Our hero, Abel, is among the latter, formerly a villain who destroyed millions of humans. He is now a priest who switches from an apparently bumbling human to an extremely powerful warrior of supernatural dimensions, ( think Chrono Crusade). The Catholic church, the major anti-vampire force, is let by a boy pope, who happens to start out as an extremely whiny character. His older siblings hold the real power. Lots of action, as well as melodrama. If you're into vampires, supernatural battles, and characters who aren't always what they seem, you'll enjoy this. Lots of blood, btw.
