It is the near future and the line between man and machine has been blurred beyond recognition. Nearly all people are now cybernetically enhanced in some way, and dealing with crime has become a job for a special elite task force called Public Peace Section 9. Charged with preventing technology-related terrorism, the group of ex-military and police investigate everything from cyber-crimes to murder. In this follow-up to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Section 9 is called back to action, but this time on a much shorter leash. An assassin has been killing government officials, and the new prime minister wants the squad to eliminate the perpetrator before he sets his sites on her. Things are not what they seem, however, and soon the team is piecing together a large-scale conspiracy involving the disturbing "Individual Eleven." Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig takes place in the same universe and follows the same characters as the film Ghost in the Shell, depicting the same gritty, realistic view of Earth's grim urban future. The story takes place after the events of the film, however, and after the conclusion of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The name "Stand Alone Complex" derives from the two distinct kids of episodes that the series includes. Some episodes, clearly marked "Stand Alone" at the beginning, are conclusive of their own plotlines and can be watched independently of each other.     The Ghost in the Shell movies and series are some of the most recognizable names in the anime mainstream culture. The reason why becomes apparent when you look at how the script is written. For example in one of the series in this set the armored carriers for the elite military unit are given consciencous while the people they are triing to track down are unique in thier own conscienous. Overall the animation isn't all that great but the script is definitly worthy of it's dedvoted following.

    Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig is the second installment to the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex show. As with all the Ghost in the Shell's, Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig story has a lot of Cyberization Techno talk and can be confusing with the heavy dialog about the plot going on at the same time. Re watch the episodes and it may help. You might find a few episodes that are of separate story lines and that could throw you off. So start from the beginning if you get the chance. Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig has a equal mix of Plot and Sci-Fi future technology and you might need time, to grasp some of there concepts.

    Well....... if you like the kind of anime that is in the future and is technoligcal then here but for me this is very hard to follow if you skip just a couple of episodes. Jumping from the fisrt season two the second is confusing ............................................................. and by the way this is second season.
