This is not the first live performance - only the first live video since '69 - and having seen the band live without an orchestra (with Ray Thomas) I found this show horribly disappointing. This mix was subpar (guitar was often lacking and the keyboards was almost always too weak). There were a couple of bright spots (most notably the haunting "are you sitting comfortably" and the great guitar work in "the story in your voice") but they sorely missed Ray on vocals, the layered harmonies the Moodies are famous for was nearly non existant. While Justin's voice was strong and one of his better performances, hearing the way Jon Lord's voice has slipped just made me sad. Isn't life strange was horrible and the only thing that saved I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band was Justin's awesome guitar playing. Get the 2000 live at the Albert Hall instead.

Excellenet DVD - their voices have slipped but it's still them and the music is still amazing

Although I do enjoy the Moody Blues, this production of them was substandard. The recording at this live concert seems to include everyone but the main vocalist, making the harmonies and accompaniment seem way too loud. It was so distracting I couldn't even watch the whole concert. A sound check might have been helpful.
